An abstract assemblage, this work derives its imagery from stylised forms and has strong positive and negative spaces. The single arch invites passage and public interaction.

Philip Spelman graduated from the Applied Arts Department at the Queensland College of Arts and continued with further study at the ANU School of Art, completing a BVA in Sculpture.

As a practicing sculptor for more than 25 years, Philip works in both painted steel and unique cast and fabricated bronze.
