Display Village Grand Opening
Capital Airport Group is pleased to announce 14 bespoke display homes at Canberra’s most remarkable suburb, Denman Prospect, will officially open to the public from this weekend.
Situated at the top of Wyndham Avenue, the Denman Prospect Display Village includes homes by 12 of the region’s leading builders, offering prospective purchasers the latest in interiors, architecture and design.
“Our design guidelines have been developed to encourage each home to be distinct from its neighbours, and to make the most of the sensational views and elevated topography,” Nick McDonald Crowley, Director of Project Delivery for Denman Prospect said.
“The fact that we are also able to offer stunning views of the Molonglo Valley, the National Arboretum, Parliament House, Black Mountain, and Mount Stromlo guarantees that this will be a lovely place to live.”
In keeping with Capital Airport Group’s commitment to quality and excellence in urban design, several sculptures have been commissioned and installed in parks and open spaces throughout the development.
With sustainability being a key focus, all homes will be equipped with a minimum 3kW system, generating approximately 4146kW of clean electricity.
The first stage of a Ridgeline park is due to open next year. A second stage includes a playground. In the meantime, a temporary playground has been built next to the display village park.
Denman Prospect is the first entire suburb in Australia to commit to Homes for Homes, a social enterprise created by The Big Issue. The initiative involves 0.1 per cent of the sale of each block in Denman Prospect being donated towards helping to address homelessness in Canberra.
To celebrate the Saturday 7 October opening of the Display Village, there will be a sausage sizzle, activities for children, and appearances by rugby league legend Ricky Stuart and former Australian cricketer Michael Bevan.
