Capital Airport Group is delighted to be chosen by the ACT Government to build the next stage of Denman Prospect.

The same high level of design, amenity and environmental sustainability that has underpinned the success of the suburb’s first two stages will be applied to the third stage of Denman Prospect.

Project Director for Denman Prospect, Nick McDonald Crowley, said the announcement meant the high aesthetic quality and unrivalled amenity would be maintained across Denman Prospect for residents and the wider Molonglo Valley community.

“Our aim is to deliver a master planned community with thoughtful design guidelines to create an elegant, impressive and memorable suburb that imparts a sense of place. We will have the right infrastructure in place to meet the needs of residents before the critical mass arrives.” said Mr McDonald Crowley.

“Our work to date is fulfilling this vision, and Capital Airport Group is committed to making Denman Prospect Canberra’s most remarkable suburb.”

As in Stages 1 and 2, every home in Denman Prospect will be powered by a minimum 3kW solar system, saving households around $500 a year in electricity costs, while the suburb’s combined emission reductions will be equivalent to taking 4,000 cars off the road annually.

With sustainability being a key focus, we will be looking to incorporate battery storage options in this new stage.

This development will also support Homes for Homes, a social housing project focused on reducing homelessness in the ACT. A donation of 0.1% of the proceeds of all land sold will go towards the project, while 20 per cent of the development will also be devoted to affordable housing.

Denman Prospect’s Display Village, featuring designs by 12 of the region’s leading builders, is rapidly taking shape and is due to open in spring.

“We value the Government’s confidence in our expertise to develop the next stage of Demand Prospect and we are looking forward to beginning construction,” Mr McDonald Crowley said.
