Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF)
From 1 July 2026, Capital Estate Developments is required to collect and verify certain information from purchasers to meet its obligations under Australia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
The information provided assists Capital Estate Developments in understanding the nature of the purchaser and the transaction, and in managing money laundering and terrorism financing risks.
As part of this process, all land purchasers must complete identity verification and provide any reasonable information required by Capital Estate Developments to meet its legal obligations before proceeding with the purchase of land.
The information required from purchasers may include:
- Documents to verify the purchasers' identity.
- Information about the beneficial owners of a company or trust, where applicable.
- Information about the source of funds used and the payment structure for the purchase.
